About The Artist & Process:

Inspired by her 13 years as a first responder in Alberta, Shauna creates artwork that honours courage, service, and the people who show up when it matters most.

Each piece begins with fire. She works with each piece over and over again, allowing the fire to move the ink, and create a background that no brushstroke ever could. Once the fire has told its part of the story, Shauna paints by hand, bringing to life the story she sees within it.

I purchased two of your pieces as gifts for my sons who are firefighters. They are in their twenties and are difficult to buy for but when I saw your art, the choice was easy. Thank you so much for the Vimy and Chief Mountain art! The two dogs in the pictures are also named Vimy and Chief. I gave the Chief Mountain one to my cousin and his wife as they have a strong connection to it. Vimy mountain also has great significance to to them and they now have a matching set. Thanks again!

All I can say is WOW. The colours are so vibrant that I could stare at them for hours.

I bought a couple stickers from Shauna at the Banff Christmas Market, and my partner surprised me with a couple more, as well as a magnet and a picture of the Three Sisters mountain range.
