ABOUT THE ARTIST & PROCESS

Inspired by her 13 years as a first responder in Alberta, Shauna creates artwork that honours courage, service, and the people who show up when it matters most.

Each piece begins with fire. She works with each piece over and over again, allowing the fire to move the ink on tile and create a background that no brushstroke ever could. Once the fire has told its part of the story, Shauna paints by hand, bringing to life the story she sees within it.
